Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire area to be waxed right before your appointment using warm, not hot water. This helps to soften your hair and relax your pores. Don’t use any lotions or oils on the area to be waxed. Do not use peels (glycolic, AHA, etc.) or microdermabrasion on the waxing area up to 24 hours prior to receiving a skin wax, also notify your technician if you are on any medication that may make your skin prone to sensitivity.
Even though you wish you could be buzzed during a wax please try to avoid alcohol and caffeine at least 3 hours before a session. This waxing pre care step is really important in making sure that the pain does not linger, a lot of times caffeine can also give you the jitters.
