WAX PRECARE

For The Ladies

Your skin is often more sensitive the time near your period, and waxing can be more painful than normal. We highly recommend for you to wait untill after right after your cycle to get a wax.

Keep It Fresh

Shower and lightly exfoliate your entire area to be waxed right before your appointment using warm, not hot water. This helps to soften your hair and relax your pores. Also try to Wear comfy undergarment, you don’t want super tight clothing irritating your freshly waxed sweet spot. Our Butterme Body scrubs are excellent for this waxing pre care step and made locally.

Skip This Step

Don’t use any lotions or oils on the area to be waxed. Do not use peels (glycolic, AHA, etc.) or microdermabrasion on the waxing area up to 24 hours prior to receiving a skin wax, also notify your technician if you are on any medication that may make your skin prone to sensitivity.

Calm The Nerves

Even though you wish you could be buzzed during a wax please try to avoid alcohol and caffeine at least 3 hours before a session. This waxing pre care step is really important in making sure that the pain does not linger, a lot of times caffeine can also give you the jitters.

Measure Me Please

Make sure your hair is at least 4 cm. The longer the better, our wax experts prefer trimming it themselves. Allow at least 3-4 weeks between waxing and / or shaving.

Prevent The Pain

Take a Tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment if you’re worried about pain. If you are really sensitive than you may purchase our no scream cream to help you relax. It helps relieve pain associated with waxing 80%-100%. No scream cream , available online.
