The mission of Vogmask is to provide important tools to protect respiratory health and inspire the conversation about poor air quality. Wearing a beautiful and highly efficient, well fitting and comfortable mask serves two important purposes:

Protection from inhaled airborne contaminants

Making people aware of the urgent need for cleaning up the air we breathe

Vogmask has been dedicated to environmental activism and raising awareness of the challenges and hazards of poor air quality. Last year Vogmask participated in a campaign with World Wildlife Fund called Clear the Haze by providing custom Vogmasks featuring this message. We have worked with many environmental groups and support the educational efforts of such NGO's as Clean Air Asia and Help Delhi Breathe. We have made people aware of the hazards of pollution and provided a simple tool to protect people while the public voice demands public policy in protection of the environment.

Functional description

Respirators are PPE and are designed and used to reduce the potential exposure of the wearer to airborne hazardous contaminants.
 
The following is a functional description of the Vogmask and its intended use

Particle filtering half mask to reduce exposures to airborne particulate matter.
Helps to protect from non-oil airborne particles such as dust, pollen, shavings, and particles found in air pollution.
The mask can also help reduce exposures to airborne biological particles such as mold.

Intended for general public use

Vogmask is for general use to protect from particles such as PM 2.5, pollen, dust, and other airborne contaminants. (up to 0,3 micrometer)  The carbon filter layer provides deodorization.  Recent research indicates that low cost carbon filters have effectiveness in protecting from ozone.

(Vogmask is not a gas mask, so it will not filter gases like for ex. NOx.)

Maintenance

The maintenance requirement for Vogmask is to mildly rinse outer and inner layer with water and small dot of mild liquid detergent, rinse again and hang dry.
